I'm an engineer

Rekha was from a poor family.Her father was working for daily wages in a factory. Yet he managed to join her daughter in an english medium school. His only aim was to make her daughter an engineer. Rekha's mother managed the family inspite of the low income.
Rekha knew well about her family situation. Her aim too was to become an engineer and make her father happy. She had never seen her father happy in his life. He was always tired of earning for their family. Rekha's friends lived luxuriously and sometimes some of the students teased Rekha of her status. But she didn't worry. She bore all the insults. Her mind and body worked for the same goal. Rekha was the topper in her school. Public was nearing. Rekha was working very hard to achieve her aim. It was the last exam .She went to get blessings from her father. While he bent down to wish her , suddenly he had severe heart attack and died. Rekha stood still. Her mother sobbed.
She said ,"Hey Rekha you dont even shed a single drop. Its your father." Rekha said,"Amma! I'm going to write my exam". She wrote the exam with confidence. She didn't think of anything in the exam hall. Days went on and results came. She came to know she had got state 1st . She could now pursue her studies with govt scholarship.She kept the marksheet before her father's photo and said," Dad! I know you are with me." A drop came from her eyes.
